Orientation OR-MA
The purpose of this course is to help ensure that the student will begin his or her study program at Master’s with the basic information needed to move successfully toward graduation. For this reason, this course is mandatory of all new students.
Advanced Biblical Directionism Counseling I BD-501
The purpose of this course is to increase the student’s appreciation for the Bible as an adequate handbook for the human mind, and to supply the student with a functioning system for using the Bible as a counseling model.
Advanced Counseling Theology I AT-501
The purpose of this course is to present to the more advanced student to the broader scope of topics in the discipline of Systematic Theology and the relevance of these topics to the work of biblical counseling.
Advanced Essentials in Biblical Counseling I AE-501
This course will introduce the student to the broader aspects of multidimensional biblical (nouthetic) counseling. The student will have the opportunity to recognize, identify and recite these concepts.
Biblical Counselor, the Counseling Center, and the Law: BCCL-1510
This course is designed to inform the student of the best practices to avoid legal issues in the Biblical Counseling practice. The secondary purpose is the prepare the student with the basic information needed to establish a counseling ministry.
Focus in Biblical Counseling I FB-501
The purpose of this course is to help the student apply the more advanced truths of Matthew 7:5 by understanding the eternal truths upon which Biblical Counseling rests so that they are better equipped to take these truths to others; to build a practical foundation for the students to enable them to identify those issues in themselves which are germane to the work they do with others.
Advanced Marriage and Family Counseling II MF-501
The purpose of this course is to further expose the student to a biblical approach to Marriage and Family counseling so that the student will acquire the basic knowledge of the biblical conceptions of family roles and interpersonal relationships, and be able to trace the importance of these data and interpret them in terms of the counseling process.
Understanding Sexual Addictions SA-501
The purpose of this course is to confront the student with the root causes of sexual addictions; to develop within the student an appreciation for the power of sexual addictions and the spiritual connection behind these addictions.
Understanding the Consequences of Sexual Sins Upon the Marriage Covenant SA-502
To acquaint the student with the generic issues concerning the consequences of sexual sins within the marriage covenant.
Understanding Pride as a Root of Habitual Sexual Sin SA-503
Course Purpose:
To confront the student with the ways pride manifests itself and provides a personal culture for a sexual addiction; to unfold to the student the biblical solution for dealing with pride and sexual addictions; and to create an appreciation for the power of God’s Word to bring deliverance and healing to the sexually addicted.
Understanding the Importance of Repentance in the Biblical Process of Deliverance SA-504
The purpose of this course is to teach the student about the importance of progressive sanctification; to teach the student about the goal of holiness.
Counseling Practicum CP-1520
This course will serve as the counseling program capstone for the student who has completed all of the other academic requirements for the Biblical Counseling degree program.
Bible Mastery BM-501
This course will provide the master’s level student with an opportunity to demonstrate a personal comprehension of the Bible as a continuum from the creation of the current heavens and earth to its recreation in perfection and righteousness.
