Our Team

I found MIUD when I was looking for a Christian education after I retired from a career in dentistry. The faculty and staff at MIUD are amazingly supportive and helpful, and I have made some enduring friendships with stalwart people of God through my experience at MIUD.

OUR ADMINISTRATION

About Our Administrative Team: One of the most powerful benefits of studying at Master's is that we are able to bring to the student the teaching and academic oversight of highly accomplished practitioners and scholars in various fields of study.

The members of our administrative and faculty team have served as leaders, teachers, ministers, missionaries, practitioners, authors, writers, and in other areas of service and leadership either in private ministry or with other institutions. They understand the challenges and issues faced every day by men and women serving in a wide range of ministry position.  This is especially true when they serve as both administrators and faculty.  Contact a member of our team.

About Our Primary Faculty, Adjunct and Visiting:

Our faculty team brings to the student the teaching and academic oversight of highly accomplished practitioners and scholars. They have served as administrators, faculty, ministers, practitioners, authors, writers, and in other areas of service and leadership either in private ministry or with other institutions. They understand the challenges and issues faced every day by men and women serving in a wide range of ministries.  As is more common today, many of faculty also serve in other institutions of higher Christian education.

You will notice that in addition to their other ministry and academic credentials, many of our faculty members are also graduates of Master’s. In some academic circles this may be questioned as being too insular, and that may be true for some colleges and universities.  We view this as a distinct advantage. Since our faculty come to us with an already impressive ministry background, their studies at Master’s are a reflection of an intense desire to be challenged in their knowledge of Biblical disciplines.

Since this is also true of most of our students, we believe the background mixture of our faculty helps to improve both an understanding of, and empathy for our students, who are typically older and already experienced in Christian ministry. This is ministry education for ministers by ministers!

How Our Faculty Views Our Students as Expressed by One of Our Senior Professors:

"I am very careful in how I grade and evaluate each student's work. We are a school focused on the Word of God. Each student in our program is here because they a have a passion for the Word of God. God speaks to us individually, and the work a student presents reflects God working through that individual. My primary focus as professor is as a guide and mentor, to meet each student where they are, to assist each individual on their spiritual journey, and to best equip them as they share their passion for ministry with others and hopefully with the world at large."
