ONLINE BACHELOR OF ARTS IN PASTORAL MINISTRY
This is an ideal degree for pastors, pastoral staff or those planning to enter the field of pastoral ministry. 

Designed for mature individuals who are currently serving as a pastor or who plan to transition into pastoral ministry, but who lack a Bible College degree. 

This degree can be earned with 32 credits by combining any A.A. or A.A.S. degree or at least 60 credits from previous study. We can help you document another 30 life-learning portfolio units. Orientation OR-UG

The purpose of this course is to help ensure that the student will begin his or her study program at Master’s with the basic information needed to move successfully toward graduation. For this reason, this course is mandatory of all new students.


Developing Pastoral Skills PS-401

To introduce to the pastor specific skills he will need to minister to, and bring freedom to, those members of his congregation who are hurting and dysfunctional.


Role & Function of the Healthy Healing Church HC-401

The purpose of this course is to explore the biblical and experiential components that go into developing and leading a local church that is healthy and offers hope and healing to the lost and hurting.


Transformational Youth Ministry TYM-501

The purpose of this course is to introduce and expose the student to the study of Youth ministry as a calling and a life of service so that he/she acquires a deeper knowledge of youth ministry, and is able to identify and describe the essential principles for transforming youth to be the leaders now and tomorrow. 


Comparative Analysis II CA-401

To encourage the student to complete a comparative and critical analysis of the foundational premises of humanistic psychology as contrasted against an analysis of the human person from a biblical perspective.


Old Testament OT-401

This course is intended to provide the student a general understanding of the Old Testament; to provide a general understanding of the purpose and theme of each of those books; and to establish a wider doctrinal comprehension of the Old Testament.


Introduction to Critical Inquiry CI-401

This is an introductory course that deals with the general issues regarding critical inquiry, with an emphasis on the theory and practice of critical thinking within the context of a Christian world-view. Students will be informed on the fundamental issues related to the practice of critical inquiry, and exposed to the reasons why such inquiry is essential to the discovery of truth.


New Testament NT-401

The purpose of this course is to present and expose the student to the study of the New Testament as a whole; to enable the student to recognize and interpret individual characters, the purpose and theme of each New Testament book and the relation of the Old Testament to the New Testament; to apply that knowledge in the student’s ministry and to lead the student to examine carefully the various interpretive options in New Testament studies.


Readings in Pastoral Ministry RP-401

This course allows the professor to assign specific readings intended to broaden and strengthen the student in the area of the study of Pastoral Ministry.


Biblical Role and Function of the Pastor FP-401

To introduce the biblical role and function of the pastor in the local church so that he/she can stand on "biblical foundation" in the performance of that role and function. This course is designed to focus the student on the pastoral role in light of scriptural teaching so as to overcome the many erroneous and damaging philosophies of pastoring. This course also discusses pastoral development, families, and potential traps and pitfalls.


Christian History of the United States CH-401

To give a properly balanced and unapologetically Christian perspective on the history of the United States, and in so doing establish the true influence of the Christian Faith upon the formation and development of the nation as a whole.

Restoring Biblical Purity in the Church: Redeeming A Culture On the Brink RBP-1500

The purpose of this course is to explain the history behind the sexual revolution; to expound on the rationale behind the legalization of birth control, abortion and sodomy in America; to identify the difference between the sex education, abstinence, and the purity movements; to research and identify the shift in the Christian churches stance on sex education, population control and sodomy over the last decade; to evaluate the impact of universal acceptance of Kinsey’s fraudulent science on the church, marriage, and children; and to cite examples of how purity can be restored to our homes, church and nation.


Sexual Indoctrination of Children and What the Church Can Do About It SI-1500

This course will enable the student to identify the difference between the sex education, abstinence, and the purity movements. As a result, the student will be able to understand, and explain the history behind the sex education and abstinence movements, and will be able to apply Biblical principles to the instruction of children on God’s Life process.


Christian Leadership: Theory and Practice CL-401

This course will provide learners with an introduction to the theory and practice of Christian leadership through an analysis of significant Christian scholars for insights into the nature and character of leadership in a biblical perspective. One of the major tasks of the course will be to give students insights into the practice of Christian leadership, by considering the Christian leader as a servant in leadership style, following the example of Jesus. 


Faith and Understanding: An Introduction to Language and Theology ILT-1510

The purpose is to introduce the student to theological thinking with special reference to global theological thought. Further, the purpose will be to examine influences on what we consider ‘our’ theology in relation to historical theological thinking, and to our current globalized Christianity.
