Doctor-of-Divinity

COMPETENCY BASED ONLINE
DOCTOR OF DIVINITY DEGREE

New Paragraph

Ideal for Senior Clergy in Christian Ministry Organizations

This is a competency-based upper level ecclesiastical doctorate degree open to qualified senior clergy. Acceptance into this program is based on actual accomplishments. The process of earning the degree involves a demonstration of what is already known, what is currently being done, and validation of Biblical competency in Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology.

No other ministry degree is as widely recognized as the D.D.

Because of the honor associated with this venerable title, long ago, in the U.S. it became the choice of Divinity Schools, Seminaries, Universities, and religious groups when conferring honorary degrees. As a consequence, in the United States, the D.D. became neglected, and almost unknown as an earned ecclesiastical degree. That is, until 2004 when Master's pioneered its return. Other schools have slowly followed our lead, but Master's pioneering D.D. program has served as the model for other institutions.

This ecclesiastical degree is not intended to compete with traditional academic or professional doctorates. However, this is truly an earned degree.  The unique manner in which the degree is earned, sets it far apart from the honorary D.D., and adds to the dignity and meaning of the world's oldest, and most easily recognized senior Christian ministry degree.
